WATER RATE INCREASE

On May 7, 2025, the Missouri Public Service Commission (MoPSC) issued an order approving the rate settlement reached by parties in Missouri American Water’s rate case for its water and wastewater operations.
The rate case was filed in July 2024 and included a request for recovery of nearly $1.1 billion in water and wastewater system improvements since its last filing. Investments in the rate review include the replacement or installation of aging water and wastewater pipes to help reduce main breaks and sewer overflows. Improvement projects also include the upgrading of treatment plants, storage tanks, wells, pumping and lift stations, fire hydrants, meters and more across the state. The rate increase approved is 29.3%.
Public Water Supply District 3 purchases water from Missouri American Water. After a meeting with our Board of Directors, they have decided to increase Public Water Supply District 3 water rates 7.5%. This increase will be effective August 1, 2025.
